I’ve never been a fan of “beach body” or “summer body” trends. I think we can be so unkind to our bodies… demanding of them that they look or move a certain way but not giving them the love, nurture and nutrients they need…
I’ve definitely been guilty of that.
“Why the hell does my period hurt so much?”
“Why do I only have 2 good days a month?”
“Why am I always bloated?”
Meanwhile my diet consisted of french fries and every single color and kind of Twizzlers, Mike & Ikes and Jelly Bellies. No joke.
I am learning to love my body. Not just what she looks like, but what she feels like, how she communicates her needs.
Yesterday I spent the day at the beach without looking at my phone once. Just me, my body, and the sand. Beautiful day.
