Today marks one week since we launched the CT Nurse Wellness Project Action Framework. Thank you to everyone who attended, supported the launch, and joined this community. We said August 8 wasn't the finish line. It was the beginning of the work—and the work has already begun. This week, we started activating The 8-Minute Conversation™ in an outpatient clinical setting, creating intentional opportunities to check in, listen, and strengthen connection. At the same time, we learned of a Connecticut nurse experiencing horizontal violence in real time. Two members of our Advisory Board were able to step in, listen, provide mentorship, and help this nurse strategically think through options and next steps. This is what I want you to know about this community: we are more than a place to gather. We are building a live resource for nurses when they need support in real time. We connect. We support. We strategize. We mobilize. We act. Sometimes that may mean connecting a nurse with an experienced mentor. Sometimes it may mean helping them think through documentation, policy, chain of command, allies, or a courageous conversation. And sometimes it simply means making sure a nurse knows they don't have to navigate a difficult situation alone. Our role isn't to replace formal workplace, HR, union, regulatory, legal, or emergency resources. Our role is to help nurses feel supported, informed, connected, and empowered to determine what comes next. Less than one week after launch, the Action Framework is already moving from plan → practice → action. And whether you are here to offer support or you are the nurse who needs it, there is a place for you here. We also published a deeper article this week about workplace violence, horizontal violence, and how our Action Framework is helping us move from awareness to action.
