OWN Weekly Planning RECAP
May 3 | Own the Week Before It Owns You
Short and sweet this morning β€” but don't let the length fool you. This one was packed.
Every Sunday we're building the habit of taking a few intentional minutes to plan the week ahead. Not three hours. Not a perfect schedule. Just one clear outcome, one system to implement, and a next step to take. That's it.
🧠 The Framework: OWN
  • Outcome β€” What is the one result you're committing to this week?
  • Why β€” What makes it matter?
  • Next Step β€” What's the specific, executable action you're taking to make it happen?
Simple. Repeatable. Powerful.
πŸ’‘ The Shift in How to Think About Your Week
Stop focusing on the goal. Start focusing on the system or habit that's going to get you to the goal.
Instead of asking "what do I want to accomplish this week?" ask yourself: "What is one system I can implement, improve, or start researching that's going to give me my time back or create more leverage in my business?"
That one question changes everything about how you plan.
πŸ”§ What the Group Committed To This Week
  • Manuel β€” 15 minutes of daily property research to prepare for door knocking. Quick comps on Redfin, nothing deeper until there's a seller to talk to. Build the qualification habit first.
  • DeMarques β€” Set up iPhone text replacements for agent outreach templates. Slash commands for email, calendar link, buy box β€” stop retyping the same thing over and over and stay in momentum.
  • Coach Ma β€” Direct message outreach for COR. Goal: 100 invites out by Thursday to get 20 people to the next webinar. No more procrastinating on it.
⚑ Quick Win of the Week: iPhone Text Replacements
If you're doing any kind of outreach, this is a free, five-minute setup that will save you hours.
Go to Settings β†’ General β†’ Keyboard β†’ Text Replacement. Set up at least three shortcuts:
  • /email β†’ your email address
  • /calendy β†’ your Calendly link
  • /buybox β†’ your criteria or pitch
Type the shortcut, it expands automatically. Less friction = more reps = more deals.
πŸ’¬ Closing Thought
Decision fatigue is real. The energy it takes to figure out what to do is almost the same as the energy it takes to do it.When you plan your week on Sunday, you wake up Monday with clarity instead of chaos. You stop reacting to your day and start creating it.
Even 20 minutes of intentional planning beats zero planning every single time.
πŸ“Œ Next Session COR Monday β€” tomorrow morning. See you there.
