This morning at work was a lot.
Last day of the quarter at school. Lots of student behaviors. A fire drill… in cold windy weather. And trying to get artwork ready for an art show this weekend. By lunchtime my brain felt like it had been running a marathon. So I did something simple. I put on my headphones, opened the Calm app, and turned on a beach wave soundscape. For 10 minutes I just sat there listening to the waves. Honestly it felt like a little brain massage 😂 Nothing fancy. I could feel my body relaxing a bit and my brain stopped running running on overload. Sometimes calm doesn’t come from a big break or a perfect self-care routine. Sometimes it’s just giving your brain a different signal for a few minutes. I’m curious… What’s something small that helps your brain reset during a stressful day?

Try this simple reset: Observe Look around. 👀What do you see? 👂What do you hear? 🧘‍♀️What do you feel in your body right now? Describe Put simple words to it. “My shoulders feel tight.” “I hear birds outside.” “My tea is warm.” No judging. Just noticing. ✨Participate ✨ Now return fully to whatever you are doing — drinking your coffee, walking outside, sitting in the sunshine. Just for a moment, be right here. 💜You don’t have to fix anything. 💜You don’t have to solve anything. Just notice. ✨ Sometimes the calm we’re searching for is simply paying attention to the moment we’re already in.
