Today it hit 60° in February… so I didn’t clean, plan, or catch up. I took my journal outside.
I sat in the sun for 3 minutes.
That’s it.
Didn’t even open my journal. Just closed my eyes and sat.
Your brain and body don’t always calm down from effort.
Sometimes they calm down from input.
Sunlight
Warmth
Fresh air
Quiet
When you feel fried after work, try this before you try to be productive:
Step outside.
Face the light.
Don’t think about anything.
Just let your eyes soften and your shoulders drop.
You’re not “wasting time.”
You’re resetting the part of your brain that makes everything else feel hard.
Your nervous system can’t relax in the same environment it got overwhelmed in.
Sometimes peace isn’t a practice — it’s a location.
