Write something
...and me too
So 20 years ago, when I was first introduced to the gospel (at age 29), I had a lot of questions. After reading the bible at first, my question was how in the world did God write the Bible through man? Anyways, in that moment, I cried out to God and I asked, how is it possible that You wrote the Word I don't understand. Help me to understand. Moments later I was standing up writing a poem as quickly as my hand could move; within seconds of being finished, I realized I had it memorized, and I've never forgot it since that day. It still blows my mind when I recite to the words. Because it pegs me at every issue I have in life. It also gave me the confidence to know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God wrote the Bible. And He wrote it to us so that we would knowhow to live this life in the best way possible for the best results possible. Now, total transparency here, this happened, sitting inside a county jail cell. I was the woman at the well, the thief on the cross, Jezebel and Judas, but He changed me. Here's the Poem: If you're feeling lost as you sometimes do, everything seems hopeless, unfair, and you're blue. Then open your bible. There's a passage for you, 'Cause you've got a friend in Jesus. If you're feeling unworthy and out of place. You're falling off track and you're losing face. Then, open your bible. It's your saving grace. 'Cause you've got a friend in Jesus. If you can't get it right, and you do things in haste. Your effort's too little and your days are a waste. Then, open your bible and find your faith. Cause you've got a friend in Jesus. Now if you want things to change for you. There's no one else to blame but you. At least read a verse or two. Open your bible I promise you. You've got a friend in Jesus. And me too... I know the answers to all of life's issues are in scripture. So this Skool is a classroom for the misfit, the motley crew, the Jezebel & the Judas that need hope and are seeking a better way...the only way....the truth, and the life.
