First Project Complete!!
I started this project with thrift shopping for knitted sweaters. Then, I used a yarn winder to undo and spin each panel of a sweater. Finally, the most mindful part of the experience was to free hand crochet this pair. Honestly, I had to frog a few rows a couple of times to get the design and sizing just right. Both pieces used less than half of the skeins wound from a thrifted $8 sweater! My next step is to start writing and drawing the pattern for this quick, simple, and cozy crafted cadence crochet loungewear set:)

Start of my Crochet Journey
I started to crochet in 2021 because I needed a new hobby that kept my hands busy, uses creativity, and provides a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment. I’ve tried many different ways to crochet and projects to work on, but my favourite method is to freestyle crochet wearables. Over the years, I’ve gained a lot of practice, experience, and new learning to make custom clothing with a size-to-fit design. In this journey, I have also focused on using natural fibres, such as cotton and wool, to promote healthier clothing and lifestyle. Where are you in your crochet journey?
30min. Crochet Session with progression updates
This was my first chance to sit down and crochet today. I recorded myself for 30 minutes to see how far I could get on crocheting a granny square. I completed 6 rounds, showed the project progression along the way, and the dogs had a good nap:)
