THE YOUTH NEEDS A SAFE PLACE...
I know I can't be the only one who feels this way... I want to know who has kids or have been around kids and see the shift in their behaviors compared to how you were brough up. There is a big disconnect between generations which is not the problem because of course we will evolve; however, I feel like a lot of the basic foundations have been lost and forgot. For example: 1. Going outside and playing until the streetlights come on. 2. Reading books in school and taking weekly test. 3. Writing classes in school or writing period 4. Playing with friends without electronics. This is just a few... but what I realize is because these youth don't have a lot of human interaction, they are less wanting to talk let alone share their thoughts or emotions if it's not outside of what benefits them in that moment. I would love to hear your feedback on this....

This Agitates Me...
One thing I realize is when Christ is wanting you to do something, or he wants to remove you from an environment he will agitate and make you uncomfortable until you make a move. I have been hardheaded for a while and now in my adult life I try my best to listen and execute without the Lord doing too much agitation. So lately I have been going back and forth with other adults about the youth being more proactive and active in their writing skills. Most adults have an issue with this concept because they too have stopped writing as often so they believe the youth of today will not want to or should not have to practice writing. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! We need to get out of that mindset and change the narrative about writing. I believe that someone is ME! So, for the next 30 days I want to do a writing challenge. Very simple and plain. Write for 10 mins in a journal. Try to use the same journal each day so you can keep track. To make it interesting for all age groups, the minimum of sentences you must write has to be your age. For example: if you are 8 years old, the min. would be 8 sentences in that 10-minute time frame. ex. If you are 34 years old your min. is 34 sentences in that 10 min timeframe. I think you guys got the hint... but I want to see who is down for the challenge... Comment below if you down....

Principle 1: LOVE GOD
As I mentioned before I make it clear that I put my faith in God as the foundation of everything I do. How does that help me? I have seen miracles; unforeseen things happen in my life that I could never think or imagine happen for me because I trust in his power. Example: When I was about 8yrs old I had a real bad infection that had me out cold for hours and the doctors didn't know what it was and how to fix it, but my grandmother prayed over me and my body and I began to get better, where I eventually left out of there with no antibiotics, but with a smile a teddy bear the nurse that was caring for me gave. I share that story because even to this day, I say that was nothing but God who protected me and knew that I was not supposed to be taken out of this world at that time. He had more work for me to do. Which is why Im here on Skool sharing my testimony with you guys. I know it might seem crazy, unheard of, or maybe a little scary. But just know God has to be the source of your life to make anything work. Share with your cousins a time you believe God has had your back and brought you out of some unforeseen circumstances.

Principle 1: LOVE GOD
Combining the 4 together...
My 4 principles of life: Love God, Be Imaginative, Keep It Simple, Be Authentic Throughout my life I have used all 4 and now I have seen why these makes sense to do what Im doing now on Skool... Being a barber that specializes in cutting kids with superpowers (autism/disabilities) I realized why a lot of the kids feel safe and comfortable with me; I can relate, Im patient, and I listen to what they have to say. I let them know that having superpowers sets you apart from most but makes you gain access to a different realm where a lot of people could never understand. Which makes you extra special! I say that to come to this...Letting God be the foundation of my life he has opened many opportunities in my career that I could have never imagined. I constantly tap into that inner kid inside me to bring out that creative side. Keeping it simple at first to get the base of whatever Im doing down and consistent. Always being authentic to myself and who I am allows me to fully embrace my mission and purpose on earth. I want to know from you out of the 4 principles which of them can you adopt to your life and use to impact your community? Lets discuss this deeper....
