Is your site blocking ChatGPT? The 7 AEO mistakes checklist
Hey everyone, I've been looking forward to sharing this one. It's a seven-point checklist for getting your website picked up by ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI answers. No code needed, and every check comes with the public source behind it. Start with check 1. Plenty of sites block the AI search bots without realizing it, and if you're on Cloudflare, its "Block" settings can now stop Googlebot too. Here's how to use it: 1. Open your robots.txt in a browser and run check 1 first. 2. Work through all seven and mark each one Pass, Fail or Not sure. 3. Do the fix listed under any Fail. 4. Add a free-text "How did you hear about us?" question to your forms. That's check 7.
