💡 Cosmetology Fact
Never perform a service on infected, inflamed, or broken skin.
One of the most common state board questions tests your ability to recognize when a service should be refused.
🚨 Exam Tip: If the skin, scalp, or nails show signs of infection, swelling, redness, pus, or open wounds, the correct answer is to refuse the service and refer the client to a physician.
Your job is to protect the client, the salon, and your license.
