How to attract target clients? Become a drug dealer! 💉 = 🤑
Tbh, You have to start thinking a bit like a drug dealer.
To attract your target customers, you want to…
GIve them a little of what they want and show ‘em….That you’ve got more of the good stuff!
I know, I know. Sounds a little too simple to work, eh?
Well, attracting those customers, really *is* this simple.
It’s just that people tend to make make it overly complicated, these days.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
As long as you stick to tried and true marketing principles and don’t fall for shiny tactics, you’ll attract customers like a magnet.
Let me show you those fundamental marketing principles, so you can start using them right away.
In fact, if you’re feeling frisky and immediately implement what I tell you…You could have a new customer by tomorrow.
Let’s dive in… Or jump in... (anyone that sounds like some cool animation to you)
  • Research, Research…And More Research
For sure, You’ll be super tempted to skip this step.
Why?
Because…Well, not gonna…It can be hella boring.
(Hey…I’m obsessed with marketing and I’d still rather floss a cat then sift through endless website, forums, magazine, swipe files..In short: Conduct market research) (Unlike some others 😒)
But I can only urge you, DO NOT skip this step. You’ll regret it big time.
Because, everytime I skimped on research and thought “Should be good enough”…I ended up losing money on campaigns or not making enough money to be profitable and had to go back to the drawing board.
So, don’t repeat my mistakes. Save yourself a lot of headaches, frustration and lost funds and do your dang MARKET RESEARCH.
Whith my rant out of the way….How do you do that exactly?
How do you research a customer?
How do you find out what they want? What attracts them? What repells them?
Luckily, we’ve got this thing called “da Internetz”.
The internet has led to a situation where we can safely say…
Privacy is Dead! 💀 YEP... you know this.
Just hop on Facebook and take a good look at what people reveal on there…
People openly display what and how much they eat, what their ugly undies look like, all the way up to what ideologies and political leanings they support.
Think about it what you want (I personally think social media is the bane of society and produces narcissistic dickheads…Nonetheless, I use social media extensively to make money. Like RN) but that’s damn good news for us "marketers"…
With all these online forums, social media interest groups, blog and YouTube comments and online product reviews, it’s pretty straight-forward to get a feel for what your ideal customer is looking for.
Once you’ve gathered enough info about your customer (I keep a big file of various questions and even print out a picture of a real person, who looks like my ideal customer….)…
You want to start creating, what is called a *Lead Magnet*
Creating a Lead Magnet to Attract Customers To Your List
A lead magnet is a short report, e-book, video or audio recording or even a free product or physical book, which represent something that your ideal customer really, really wants.
Now again…Take your time to create such a lead magnet.
Low-qualtiy and “good enough” won’t fly here.
If you simply slap something together that sounds or looks good to you, guess what?
A lead magnet rarely works, because you’re not seeing “through your customers” eyes.
Think of your lead magnet as your business card on steriods. I mean... even talks a lot about this.
Done right, a good lead magnet is the start of a highly-profitable relationship between you and your customer. So, put your best foot forward.
That’s why I keep on hammering the importance of RESEARCH into your thick skulls…Capice?
Now…There’s no “hack” or formula to find out exactly WHAT you could offer your customers.
But again…The internet is your biggest ally.
I always start with Google and do a quick search.
Now, I want to give you a BIG money-making gem and this point….
Look for, what your competitiors are doing.
If you notice two or three players in your market offering similiar lead magnets, chances are….They’re working.
Remember, it’s always GOOD to have competition.
That’s a sign that there’s money to be made in this market.
Especially, if you double check your findings on http://SEMrush.com.
Semrush shows you how much traffic a website is getting and even how much SALES they’re making and how many people are downloading their lead magnet.
It truly doesn’t get any better than this.
With that info, you can be very sure…Their lead magnet is working and they’re making money.
Once you’ve figured out what you customer want, and you’ve created a lead magnet based on that knowledge…..
It’s time to build your squeeze page.
A squeeze page, is a very simple website, that has one, very clear and important purpose.
To capture your leads email address and to start the relationship with your customer.
Please note, that I haven’t yet talked about DELIVERING the lead magnet (the solution or product they want).
This is a small but very decisive detail.
You see, you want to use the state your prospect is currently in after opting-in into your email list, to start the PERSUASION PROCESS.
After your prospect enters his email, you should lead them to a carefully crafter “Thank You Page”.
On that page, you make it unequivocally clear….you’re not a boy scout who’s giving away cookies, out of the kindness of his heart.
Nope.
You’re running a business and your prospect should immediately catch on to that.
On the “Thank You”-Page you’ll make your first soft offer for one of your products, to re-coup some of your ad spend and to start the relationship on the right footing.
Again, don’t hard sell but make it easy for them to click on your low-end offers.
Remember, you don’t just want an email list to talk to people about the weather…You want to build a list to extract money out of, and improve the lives of those, who’re willing to pay for your products.
In other words, you want a list of buyers.
But that’s another story….
This got long again.
Take your time with this. Put some real thought and time into research.
Create a high-quality, compelling lead magnet. Build a list of pre-motivated, pre-qualified and ideally pre-sold customers.
That’s the most efficient, lucrative and fun way to attract customers with the internet.
Roll your sleeves up bucko, and get going.
