Friday, August 28, 4:00 PM Eastern. Two problems come up more than any others when designers talk to me. The first is approval. Work that dies in committee, revision cycles that never end, stakeholders who can't tell you what they want but are certain it isn't this. The second is finding work at all, which is its own kind of misery right now. I've been on both sides of it. I taught design for about twenty years, and the students who actually took this advice and used it did well with it. I've also run an agency for twenty-three, which means I've made most of these mistakes myself and paid for them. So let's talk. Bring a project that's stuck, a portfolio question, a pricing question, whatever you're actually dealing with. This is a discussion, not a lecture. Constellations comes into it, since a lot of approval trouble is really an evidence problem, and testing a direction is cheaper than arguing about one. But it isn't a product session, and you don't need to be using the tool to get something out of it. Friday, 4:00 PM Eastern. See you there.
