Thank you so much to everyone who joined this month’s Coffee & Connect! It was lovely chatting with you all.
As promised, here are some of the resources we discussed around creating simple, authentic video content without feeling like everything needs to be perfectly scripted, filmed or edited. Although some of these videos are specifically about YouTube, the advice is GOLD for creating video content in general — whether you're posting on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok or anywhere else.
There are some really useful tips here for speaking naturally on camera, filming in fewer takes, letting go of perfectionism and making video creation feel much easier.
🎥 Creating Better, More Natural Videos (in a world where people are already sick of AI)
** this one is AMAZING** - useful for content in GENERAL - not just youtube!

I Made 30 YouTube Videos in 30 Days, and Learned This — AlexanderTheCreate
A great watch if perfectionism is slowing you down. Lots of lessons about improving through actually creating rather than endlessly preparing.
🎬 Simple Video Editing Tools
You also don't need fancy editing software to create good content. Some easy options include:
•TikTok — edit directly inside the app
•Instagram — edit your Reels directly inside the app
•CapCut — great for quick edits, captions and short-form content
•Filmora — beginner-friendly desktop editing
•iMovie — simple option for Apple users
And one of my favourite reminders from our conversation: Your content doesn't need to be perfect to be valuable. You don't need perfect lighting, a perfect background, a full face of makeup, a word-for-word script or hours of editing.
Sometimes simply turning on the camera, sharing what you know and letting people see the real person behind the business is far more powerful.
Be authentic over perfect in a world of AI.
Thank you again to everyone who joined us! ☕ We're excited to see you at the next Coffee & Connect! ❤️
