5 things I’ve learned from being in a healthy relationship ❤️

1 // You don’t attract what you want, you attract who you are

For so long I looked for something outside of myself, hoping and wishing that I’d find it. The truth is, we can only attract what we are energetic match for. It was only when I started to love myself wholeheartedly that I met my person.

2 // Detachment is the key to attracting who you desireWhen I was manifesting a healthy relationship I always felt like I “needed” someone outside of me to be happy.

The needing / wanting energy kept me in a state of lack which continued to push away my desire. It was only once I felt okay, happy and loved on my own that he seemingly fell from the sky

3 // There are different season to a relationship, learn to embrace every one

There will be seasons of rest, growth, restructuring, deep love and more. No matter what season it is, embrace it, because life is cyclical and before you know it, you’ll be in a new season

4 // True intimacy is communicationPartners are not mind readers (I learned this the hard way 😉).

Know what you want, say what you want, and communicate your needs. We all have them. (But always listen more than you speak. God gave you two ears and one mouth for a reason)

5 // There is no perfectAs cliche as it sounds, no one is perfect.

You will make mistakes, and so will your person. Choose a partner who can see beyond a short-term disagreement or difference and come back to the long term vision. This is true love.

Today is a special day for me because it’s not only Valentines Day but my 2-year anniversary 💘I vividly remember what it was like over 2 years ago. Wondering if I’d ever find healthy love, if my person really existed…In retrospect, it was all about trust. Trusting that there was so much better on the other side of fear. More importantly, trusting myself that I am enough exactly as I am and that’s when my person appeared…The universe always had my back.🙏
