Birthday Rituals
It’s Saturday and that means it’s time for us to share memories from our past. Hopefully, you have some fond memories.
Today, my grandson turns 1 and tomorrow is a small birthday party for him plus the grandparents. I don’t think he will remember it but I’m sure my daughter and son in law will.
Growing up, did you have any rituals around birthdays? Two that I remember were we always got to pick the kind of cake we wanted mom to make and we always had a homemade piñata. I’ll let tell the story of the piñata that refused to break.
What about you? Did any of these carry over to your kids?
