Enneagram Ashton Replay 8/18
This was a great call to revisit!!! Here are a few key point and if you havent taken an enneagram test that may be a tool to help you assess which you resonate most with! Ashton (EnneagramAshton), a certified Enneagram educator with a master's in psychology, presented a comprehensive session on applying the Enneagram framework to entrepreneurship. The session covered all nine types, their core fears/desires, business strengths and struggles, marketing voices, and practical tips. Participants engaged in self-reflection activities and a client-scenario exercise to identify their types and understand how personality drives business decisions. What Is the Enneagram - Ancient 9-type system focused on the why behind behaviors — motivations, fears, and desires — not just observable behaviors like DISC or Myers-Briggs. - Each person has one core type (fixed from birth) plus two wings (adjacent types that can fluctuate), a stress number, and a growth number — connecting each person to five types total. - Tests (recommended: Truity and RHETI) are a starting point, but answers often reflect the "mask" rather than core motivations; hearing type descriptions often yields better self-identification. The Nine Types: Core Motivations at a Glance - 1 – Reformer: Fears being wrong/unethical; desires integrity and doing right - 2 – Helper: Fears being unloved; desires to be needed and appreciated - 3 – Achiever: Fears being seen as incompetent; desires success and validation - 4 – Individualist: Fears being inherently flawed; desires uniqueness and significance - 5 – Investigator: Fears ignorance/invasion of resources; desires to be seen as knowledgeable - 6 – Loyalist: Fears lack of security; desires safety and support - 7 – Enthusiast: Fears being trapped in pain; desires contentment through new experiences - 8 – Challenger: Fears being seen as weak; desires to protect self and others - 9 – Peacemaker: Fears conflict and abandonment; desires harmony

What can you do for YOU today?
@Jaci North sent me a Mel Robbins episode today that features a convo with Seth Godin, as I listened here were a few things that stood out… What is the work that needs to be done that I’m afraid of? Resistance Experience of being alive, is the “work” “When we have the opportunity to be productive, whether or not we’re getting paid for it we have a chance to be fully alive.” “It could be the work that you’re doing at home as a parent volunteering at a local animal, shelter, You are doing it because the work needs to be done and doing it well is gratifying. Magical side effects… more respect, independence, resilience. You’re willing to do the things others are not willing to do.” Pick you. Do what you want to do or change you want to make! On the other end of this resistance is creating something that you want to do and if what’s keeping you from doing it is what others think… pick you! I will link the episode in the comments!
