Automatic bookings or request-to-book — what’s your approach?
Curious to hear how everyone here handles bookings.
Do you allow automatic bookings, or do you prefer request-to-book so you can review guests first?
For full transparency: I personally started with request-to-book, and it gave me a lot of peace of mind in the beginning. Lately, I’m testing automatic bookings to see how it fits with the systems I’ve built and the kind of guests my listing now attracts.
I don’t think there’s a single “right” setup — it really depends on where you are in your hosting journey and what helps you feel in control rather than reactive.
What do you use right now, and why did you choose that approach?
