When I was 14 years old I got involved in local productions and learned my first lighting desk. I was unaware of the seed that was planted at the time but it transformed into the ambitions that hit me like a brick wall in my early adulthood. Taking a pay cut (working for free) to learn as much as I could in the short span of time it felt like I had to achieve my dreams, I collected as much knowledge as I could to become a live event lighting designer. Being slingshot into the industry at such a young age gave me the ability to adapt and learn on my feet. Which is exactly what this industry is about! I made this community to fill the biggest gap in the industry for beginners… know how. In this community we stay up to date with the latest gear and industry standard strategies to ensure the smoothest and most impactful shows possible. Beginners are encouraged to engage and ask the ‘dumb questions’ (lol)! Veterans are encouraged to pass down skills and knowledge they’ve accumulated over their years of experience in the industry.
