The missing line in every prompt that sounds like it was written for everyone.
You type a request into ChatGPT or Claude. You hit enter. Out comes something that could've been written for anyone.
Generic. Flat. "I guess I'll edit this."
I used to blame the AI. The problem was me.
I was handing it assumptions and asking it to fill in the blanks. So it guessed. And guessing is why the output felt like it was written for everyone instead of me.
Then I started adding one line to the end of my prompts:
"Before you answer, ask me any questions you need to give me the best possible result."
Everything changed.
Instead of guessing, the AI stops and asks:
→ Who's this for?
→ What tone and length?
→ What's the goal, leads or engagement or sales?
Those questions force me to get clear. And clear input is the whole game. The output went from "I'll edit this" to "this is ready to ship."
This isn't a hack.
It's core prompt engineering.
Role, context, task, then invite questions so the AI stops filling in blanks you never meant to leave.

Add that exact line at the end.
Answer the questions honestly.
