How to Focus Like a Beast
What's up high-performer, in this short post I'll talk about a part of nutrition most people don't really give a care about.
You know, everyone talks about macros, which are protein, fats and carbs as well as their calorie intake.
But, obviously, there are also the micronutrients. And like I said, they are super overlooked.
A lot of people feel groggy or tired because they just don’t eat enough nutrient-dense food to cover their micronutrients. And those actually help you fix your mood, your focus, and your sleep.
And when those three things are fixed, your energy and clarity go up automatically.
So yeah, you shouldn’t neglect them.
Best sources for micronutrients are things like liver, beef liver is crazy dense. Salt is important for electrolytes, and mineral water gives you a lot of trace minerals.
Fruits are also great, stuff like bananas, blackberries, cantaloupe. These are fruits that actually carry more than just sugar.
And then your protein sources like trout, salmon, beef, and eggs, they also have high amounts of micronutrients. That’s why I recommend them so much.
One thing that’s really important is your breakfast.
You want it to be high in protein and fats so that you get that stable energy. And try to have little to no carbs in your first meal, so you don’t crash in the afternoon like most people do.
Then lunch should be focused on clean and lean protein, a bit of fat, and some healthy carbs with micronutrients. Stuff like fruit, peppers, zucchini, avocado, rather than carbs like bread or rice or noodles.
Because those starchy carbs don’t have a lot of nutrients and they’re harder to break down. That’s why you feel tired after eating them.
And finally, caffeine.
Delay your caffeine intake to about 60 to 90 minutes after waking up. That way your body wakes up naturally first.
Then use caffeine during deep work sessions, when it actually helps you stay focused.
That’s it.
This stuff changed how I work. You’ll feel different within like 2–3 days of eating like this.
