Introduction
Hey everyone, my name is Draven. I’m a 21 year old dive school student originally from Alberta, Canada. And I’m graduating this week from Divesafe International on Vancouver Island, looking forward to getting a chance to enter the industry.
I originally worked in the oil patch back in Alberta on the service rigs. But wasn’t really enjoying the social environment and work that came with it. And didn’t find myself seeing a future there.
One of my biggest reasons for moving into diving is travelling and seeking different work experiences, it seemed like the best career to do for that. Considering it’s not a popular trade and is essentially needed everywhere globally. Travelling is a huge passion I have in life, and a lifestyle I’ve been chasing for sometime.
If anyone has tips, or advice I’m glad to take it. I’m largely in the board here to look for international inshore/offshore opportunities willing to take a diver new to industry!
