At the Division 1 Level - Rosters of 34 *beginning 12/1/2025 (most carried 40 previously) Roster make up - Mix of Incoming Freshmen and Transfers Scholarship $$ and Expectations Unlimited (in theory 34 on full scholarship), BUT most likely won’t see this Most D1 scholarships 20-40% range Previously 11.7 scholarships split among 25 “scholarship” players The Transfer Portal (saw approx 6,000 in summer 2025) Goal is to get somewhere you can contribute EARLY. Key factors to consider: Academics Division and level (there are major differences even within Division) School location - In-state vs out, distance from home, rural vs urban Majors offered Size of school Current team’s roster (opportunities, make up of roster, pipeline, school’s recruiting tendencies) Have a wide variety, explore all levels

In this modern era of college baseball recruiting, metrics are heavily utilized to provide context on what exactly a player can do and how they may project. It is CRITICAL you have your key metrics measured from a reliable source and are familiar with them. We’ll take a look at what the metrics mean, what coaches are looking for, how to highlight your strengths, and how you can improve areas that may need to improve to get the attention from the schools you’re interested in.
