The Phoenix Quest: Reclaiming Your Dragon

Far past the edge of the known Sparkleverse™ map, past the Coral Archives and out into open water, there is a volcanic island that most travelers never reach. It's called Ashkeep. Black sand beaches, obsidian cliffs, hot springs that smell like sulfur and possibility. At the center, a single mountain. Mount Pyre. Always smoking. Never quite erupting. The locals say it's been holding its breath for a thousand years.

Ashkeep used to be the dragon homeland. But the dragons got better and better at not feeling things. Better at carrying old hurts, old beliefs, old versions of themselves they had outgrown but couldn't bring themselves to let burn. And generation after generation, they got smaller. Until one day, they weren't dragons anymore. They were phoenixes. Bright. Beautiful. Palm-sized. Performing rebirth on a tiny scale because that's all the body they had left.

"The dragon is still in there. Compressed. Folded. Waiting. The secret of Ashkeep is that the dragon comes back. Not all at once. Not with a single ceremony. But with real burning."

You arrive at Ashkeep with a phoenix on your shoulder. You leave with a dragon at your back, big enough to ride. 40 to 60 Dragon Riders are waiting on the island. Experts who burned something to reclaim their power and came to Ashkeep to show you how. Each one rides a dragon named after what they let go.

Your Hosts

Kaira, Keeper of the Burn, looks at the phoenix on your shoulder and tells you exactly what's compressed underneath.

Soot specializes in the slow burn. The things you've been compressing so long you forgot they were there.

Spark specializes in the fast burn. The lies you're still actively telling. She'll catch you mid-sentence.

Ember the Dragon (Day 12 cameo) lived on Ashkeep for centuries before the Guardian system existed. She comes back for the finale.
