The Cloverlight Parent Collective Community
I've spent years working in education — as a teacher, as a higher education professional, and as a parent of color raising a child in a world that wasn't quite built for them. And I kept noticing the same gap: there was no space that held all of it together. The books that reflect our kids. The schools worth fighting for. The futures beyond college. The identity work that makes all of it possible. So I built one. The Cloverlight Parent Collective is a free community for parents raising children of color with intention — Black, Latinx, AAPI, biracial, and multicultural families navigating identity, early education, and an economy that keeps changing. If this resonates with someone in your network, I'd be grateful if you shared it. And if it resonates with you — so glad you've joined us. What topics are currently on your mind? What would you like to see in this space?

Raising Kids of Color
I want to start our first real conversation with an honest question. Raising a child of color often means doing two things at once that nobody quite teaches you how to do together: → Building their sense of who they are → Preparing them for systems and spaces that weren't designed for them Which one do you find harder right now? And what's one thing — however small — that's helped? I'll share mine in the comments. No right answers. Just real ones.

Welcome & Introductions
Welcome to The Cloverlight Parent Collective. I'm so glad you're here! This is a space for parents of color who are raising children with intention — proud of who they are, prepared for where they're going, and supported by people who get it. You're not just raising a child. You're raising a child of color in a world that wasn't built for them — navigating schools, systems, and a future that keeps changing, all while making sure they know exactly who they are. This community is for Black, Latinx, AAPI, biracial, and multicultural families who are done guessing and ready to parent with clarity. We talk about the books that reflect our kids, the schools worth fighting for, the futures worth imagining beyond college, and the identity work that makes all of it possible. Start here: tell us your name, your kid(s)' ages, and one thing you're thinking about for their future right now. We're so excited to build this community together~!
