đźš» Restroom Setup for Drug Testing (Compliance Reminder)
When preparing a restroom for urine drug testing, proper setup is non-negotiable. An improperly prepared restroom can result in invalid tests, cancelled collections, or compliance violations.
Before the collection, ensure the following:
âś… Secure all water sources
- Turn off or secure sinks, toilets, and any running water
- Add bluing agent to the toilet bowl and tank
âś… Remove prohibited items
- No soaps, cleaners, chemicals, or personal items
- No trash cans unless required by the collector
âś… Control the environment
- No outside bags, coats, or purses allowed inside
- Mirrors and cabinets secured if applicable
âś… Post clear instructions
- Collection instructions visible
- Access limited to the donor and collector only
⚠️ Remember:
Improper restroom setup can lead to refusal to test, direct observation requirements, or test cancellation—all of which can delay operations and cause compliance issues.
