The story we tell ourselves is often riddled with kindness. Gaps we allow for ourselves, steps skipped in attempt to speed run through progress and iterations.
The fact of the matter is, like all good things, this takes time.
Since it takes time, if you are moving in the wrong direction or taking the wrong steps, that time can be burnt.
Wasted.
Direction will always be more important than speed. Discovering the fables, the fallacies, the stories that hold you back allows you to course correct as soon as possible.
Without this, days don't disappear. Weeks, months, all vanish to efforts in the wrong direction.
One of the most valuable exercises that I do on a monthly and annual basis is an audit.
Audit of my resource inventory, of my time, my efforts, and how well I'm taking advantage of the opportunities available to me.
Over the years, this has served me by surfacing lessons learned. It informs whether or not I continue to work with someone, or spend any time entertaining support for an organization.
This determines who I check in with, and to what extent. Without that thoughtful buffer, I default into routines without much thought into why I do what I do.
The moment you disconnect from the why is where you wake up to surprised, mismanaged expectations. This carries in business, in relationships, and truly in life.
Take inventory, you have everything you need to create what you envision. Just extend the olive branch and you'll be genuinely surprised at how much of what you're looking for is in arms reach.
Classroom's updated with last week's event material + a new dedicated video to showcasing the sourcing engine and a 30-day workbook that you'll change how you work with AI.
More events coming this weekend, 2 back to back on Saturday. See you there!
