Pulled the trigger!
After reading what you all had to say about the Sentro 22, I decided to figure out my budget and see if I could do the Addi 22 sooner instead of waiting. I can, and I did order a new one instead of used. It SHOULD arrive tomorrow. There was one from the same shipper/seller, that costs about $2 more that would arrive a day later. Make sense? No... lol I appreciate all of your input! It really did help me decide to not take a chance on the Sentro because it could potentially break down quickly. And probably right after the return window closes! lol I can't wait for the Addi to get here! Later on in the future, I'll consider getting an Addi 46 when my Sentro 48 starts breaking down. One thing at a time, and I'll slowly build up more! Without this community, I would probably have given the Sentro 48 to my granddaughter. I just was having a hard time with it. A true testament to the power of this CKM community in helping people!
Just playing around
Just playing around with some iCord. This is 3 weight yarn, but a very thin 3 weight. I tried doing something similar with 4 weight cotton yarn, but it was much more stiff and difficult to work with. This is an acrylic yarn and is fairly soft, so it is very pliable. (Not as soft as Mandala yarn.) I wish I had more of this color! This yarn was left over from a crochet project 2 or 3 years ago. I honestly can’t remember the name or brand, but I think it was Premier Anti-pilling DK through Herrschner’s. Whatever it was, it seems to be discontinued because I can’t find anything like it now. I wish I had more of it! So if anyone is looking to crochet a round rug or a basket or a mat of any type, I would suggest using a lighter weight yarn. Probably no heavier than DK. I hated how the four week was working up, but this I love!
