💛 Community Rules Refresher – And Why We Have Them 🧶
As our community continues to grow, I thought it would be a good time for a quick refresher on our rules and, more importantly, why they exist.
The goal isn't to create a bunch of restrictions.
The goal is to protect the supportive, encouraging, and drama-free community that we've all worked so hard to build. 💛
- 😊 Be Positive
We all have bad days, but this is a place for encouragement, support, and solutions.
No negativity, personal attacks, or drama.
We're here to build each other up, not tear each other down.
2. 🚫 No Self-Promotion
Please do not direct members to non-approved Facebook groups, communities, websites, YouTube channels, or other platforms.
Members joined this community to learn and connect here.
Keeping discussions and resources inside the community helps everyone benefit.
🧶 Make an Effort
This community works best when people participate.
Ask questions.
Share projects.
Like posts.
Leave comments.
Encourage others.
The more everyone participates, the stronger the community becomes.
📬 No Spamming Members
Please don't send unsolicited messages, sales offers, or promotions to other members.
We want everyone to feel safe and comfortable here.
❤️ Respect Designers
Please do not ask for or share row counts from someone else's design.
Designers put a lot of time, effort, and creativity into creating patterns, and we want to respect that work.
📚 Pattern Sharing by Permission Only
Members are welcome to design and share patterns, but we ask that you first contact me to become a pre-approved pattern contributor.
Why?
Because we want to ensure patterns are organized, easy to find, and provide a great experience for members.
Approved patterns will be placed in the Community Library rather than directing members outside the community.
If you're interested in becoming a contributor, just send me a DM. 😊

The exception is our weekly Sunday Show & Tell post, where everyone is welcome to share other crafts and hobbies.
📸 Sharing Projects from Other Designers
You are absolutely welcome to share photos of projects you've made from patterns created by other designers.
In fact, we love seeing what you've made!
Please simply:
💛 Credit the designer by name
💛 Do not post links to the pattern
💛 Do not post YouTube links
This allows us to celebrate great designs while respecting the creator's work.
⚠️ What Happens If a Rule Is Broken?
We understand that sometimes people are new and simply don't know the rules.
If a rule is broken:
💛 The first time, the post or comment will be removed, we'll explain why, and you'll receive a friendly warning.
💛 The second time, you will be removed from the community.
That may sound strict, but it's how we protect the culture and atmosphere that make this community special.
Our members deserve a positive, supportive, and respectful place to learn, and we take that responsibility seriously.
Thank you all for helping make this one of the most positive and supportive crafting communities around.
These rules aren't here to limit anyone.
They're here to protect the culture that makes this community feel like home. 💛🧶
