It amazes me how variegated yarn can change design depending how it is cast on. This is the same yarn, same machine and same tension. I'm just amazed.

Slowly, slowly, slowly… I’ve been working hard trying to keep up on this. But every now and then I have to stop because my fingers hurt from pushing the darning needle through. And I also got a call from my brother’s fiancé… Her daughter is in a booster club and they need donations for a raffle basket, and I was asked if I could make a set of my crochet pot holders and dish cloths to donate for the basket. Fortunately, I have one potholder done already. I’ve just had it stashed away waiting for a purpose besides my kitchen. Lol so now I’m working on the other potholder and the two dish cloths. I will share them next Sunday on Show and Tell Sunday. In the meantime, here are a couple of progress pics of the rug.

This really is going to take awhile! lol. I keep taking pictures so I can see progress because it doesn’t feel like I’ve done much. But it’s all being hand stitched. The center started with cotton yarn. The green is acrylic, blue is cotton, cream is acrylic… I made the iCord alternating between cotton and acrylic yarn, but creating it all as one super long cord. I still have more yarn if I need to make more cord, but I most likely won’t be making more for at least a few days! lol.
