Find your blissful moments
On hard days, look for blissful moments. Bliss isn’t happiness. It's the moments that don’t ask anything of you.
A sip of something warm.
Sunlight on your face.
A deep exhale you didn’t realize you were holding.
And if you have trouble finding blissful moments, take a walk with a six-year-old. They will find ladybugs and inchworms, the tiniest of flowers, and watch squirrels and chipmunks play. That is what teaches us to slow down and just breathe.
When life feels heavy, stop looking for big breakthroughs. Look for the soft interruptions.
They’re how your nervous system remembers it’s allowed to rest.
Where do you find your blissful moments?
