Hi, my name is James Cooler. Horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I was fortunate to be introduced to Natural Horsemanship at the age of 12. My father had the opportunity to learn directly from respected horsemen such as Buck Brannaman, Pat Parelli, and John Lyons by attending their clinics and seminars. When he returned home, he passed that knowledge on to me through their videos, books, and hands-on practice.
This foundation eventually led my family to begin teaching clinics in rural Montana, where I gained valuable experience working with difficult horses and starting young colts under saddle.
Over the past 20 years, my wife, Kate, and I have helped hundreds of students strengthen their relationship with their horses through the principles of horse psychology—what Natural Horsemanship truly means to me.
I believe that every horse and every training style can benefit from a deeper understanding of horses think, communicate and learn.
