I know it's April 1, but I'm just terrible at keeping a straight face when I try to play a joke on someone. How about you? Can you pull off a good April Fool's joke? Joking aside for a moment, I have this awesome daily devotion book that is a compilation of Smith Wigglesworth's teachings. It is dated and has a specific devotion for each day of the year. I haven't used it in a while, so I decided this morning to open it up to April 1 to see what my Word for the day would be. I was so surprised and delighted because the recommended scripture reading (2 Chronicles 20:15-30) contained a repeat of the scripture I shared yesterday. π± In the post titled, Thank you & Please, I mentioned Psalm 107:1 "Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love endures forever." Well, in 2 Chronicles 20:21, King Jehoshaphat is preparing his army to go out against a much larger army on its way to annihilate Judah and Jerusalem. (They knew they were no match for that huge army and they were skeered!) π¬ God told him through the prophet in verse 17, "You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you." Then King Jehoshaphat ordered a group of singers to go out in front of his army and sing, πΆ "Give thanks to the Lord, for His love endures forever." (There it is again!) I don't know about you, but I've been fighting some battles that have proven difficult to win. I believe God is telling you and me both that He's been working behind the scenes all along βοΈ and we just need to stand firm see His great deliverance! ππΌ Each one of our dreams and goals is going to come with some kind of resistance, and God is reminding us that He's always working behind the scenes on our behalf. And that's what this group is all about... growing together into our Holy Spirit inspired greatness and staying reminded that God is with us in it all! Tell us in comments below, ππΌ are you facing a battle that you're ready to watch the Lord win for you? π€Ί
