Do you love the art of music writing, but have no idea how to get published beyond your own blog that only three of your friends subscribe to?
I used to think getting published was impossible.
I watched the movie Almost Famous at 17 and wanted so desperately to achieve the same results as William Miller.
But no way a kid from Alabama could ever make an impact with his writing, right?
Fortunately, I had amazing journalism professors at the University of Montevallo who encouraged my efforts.
Even though I had to start with local artists (amazing bands in their own right), I'm happy to report I've been able to interview my favorite bands, several of which have sold millions of records (Counting Crows, Switchfoot, Wilco, Death Cab for Cutie, etc.).
The internet has made so much possible.
I want to teach you how it's done in 2026.
