Proper grounding of your Tiny Home can prevent serious power surges. The Tiny House shown has propane lines and a steel roof; if either one of these is absent from your home, the ground associated with them can be ignored.
When installing your grounds, make sure they are located in an easily accessible place to allow the inspector an unobstructed view.
Grounds (8GA):
- "When installing a steel roof, a grounding wire running from the top of the roof to the trailer frame is needed. (always use stranded 8 GA wire)
- "if installing propane in your home ensure that the exposed portion of the black pipe has a ground wire running from the black pipe to the trailer frame; these copper ground clamps can be found at your local Home Depot. (always use stranded 8 GA wire)
- "Finally, Ensure that you run a ground wire from your trailer frame to the electrical panel. (always use stranded 8 GA wire)
