Does Sodium chlorite reacts w/ ceramic/porcelain

Can you use ceramic/porcelain bowl for pets with Sodium chlorite in it ? Does Sodium chlorite reacts with ceramic/porcelain like it does with metal bowls? Does it have to be glass cub/bowl? I am trying to switch my cat from water fountain to water bowl she is used to fountain which is metal. I cant add sodium chlorite to metal fountain due to being metal and filter system in it.
