I did not win. Shredder lost.
I spent most of the day reviewing the London System and watching Levy's videos on the French Defense and how to beat the London. I suppose I could have forced Shredder to play Black so I could play the London, but I most wanted to practice the French. So I left the choice as random. Shredder was White. 🙂And played d4. ☹️ I haven't studied the Dutch yet, which is my intended defense against d4. So I winged it and played something analysis calls the Barnes Defense, which I've never heard of. Shredder played horribly, and I played only a little less horribly. Shredder blundered the queen, and resigned not long after. In analysis I realized I really need to go back to study pawn play. After I learn at least a little about the Dutch. Still looking to defeat Shredder with the French before I move up to play against it at 980.
