My mom always used to use this expression for me so it seems appropriate here. Last minute, Lily… Waiting till the last moment to do something or accomplish anything ha ha ha. Mother’s Day is just around the corner, some of you may have grand ideas, some of you may have no clue, some of you may be sitting back and wondering if anyone else is planning something. Last night I got a call from my son saying “Mother. What are your plans for Sunday?” to which I of course replied that I was keeping my dance card open just in case somebody wanted to do something with me :). He suggested coming over for the day to spend with me, and in the evening, making his famous sausage pasta which he has not yet made for me, but which I have consulted on roughly 397 times 🤣 (when I can tie that boy down I’m gonna teach him more!) Anyways, so I now have plans for Mother’s Day. Do you? For those of you who are not familiar with my Italian date night cooking experience, I tweaked it a little bit to make it a Mother’s Day experience. If any of you would love to spend the evening cooking with your mom, or have someone you can send it to as a hint 😜 hint, let me know I’d love to share it with you! Hey everybody! Super excited to welcome #101 and #102 into our community! Maybe if I make an assumption, I'll be an ass and the ump will shun me, but I'm just going to say it... same last name... I think we have our first husband-and-wife members! This is really exciting! The connection between food and love is powerful. Food is present in everything we do, in every big event of our lives: weddings, graduations, birthdays... Food is a uniting factor in our lives. Sharing a meal together with our partners, or even better, cooking a meal together with our partners, is an amazing way to connect through something we have to do anyway! So I'm excited to have @Rebecca Bray and @Abe Bray join our family here! Welcome!

I like to shake it up a bit. Maybe even spell things wrong, ha ha! But I want to welcome our newest members! Have you looked at the numbers? We are at 98! Two beautiful souls away from 100, and I'm excited! Let's give our best warm welcome to @Jacqulynn Tamanini @Katinka van Kan @Keith Berg and @Taras Mokrytskyi ! As always, I thoroughly enjoy the multiculturalness of this community. We have people from all over Goma, and it's that unique culture that everyone brings that makes this community special. I invite all our new friends to introduce themselves in a new post, and I want to invite everybody to post or comment with your very favorite meal or recipe.
