In preparing for your CDA observation, it is important to know that CDA prefers process art over product art. That means little to no modeled art should be done in your classroom. Many teachers struggle with this! You want children to make their own art - no dittos or cut outs. All children should not be making the same thing. Let children make what they want to make! Make sure and hang up their process art in your classroom. Attached is a great article from NAEYC that can be shared with parents on the importance of process art.

I teach in my CDA course why you should eliminate the word "no" when working with young children. I love that this video reinforces that concept.
