You walk cautiously towards the two gravel piles.
Up close, both appear almost identical.
The larger pile contains slightly damper stones.
At the foot of each pile stands a small wooden sign.
The larger pile is labelled: IMPORTANT
The smaller pile is labelled: UNIMPORTANT
Behind you, the gigantic green mechanical hand continues its endless sorting.
A low grinding noise echoes steadily through the chamber.
Occasionally, the hand selects a single piece of gravel, examines it carefully, then flicks it decisively into one pile or the other.
