You carefully pull the object free from behind the jars.
You are delighted to find a heavy gold ring engraved with a single word:
ALMOST
The ring feels extremely cold in your hand.
Not unpleasantly cold.
But cold enough.
You quickly slip the ring into your pocket.
Behind you, the ogre-goose snorts heavily in its sleep but does not awaken.
The soup continues bubbling softly nearby.
For reasons you cannot fully explain, you become absolutely certain the ring matters, beyond its value.
You just do not yet understand why.
You decide this may be an excellent time to leave the kitchen.
Choices:
- Leave through the eastern exit, from which polite applause can be heard
- Leave through the south-eastern exit, from which nothing can be heard
