You find yourself at the foot of a ladder, in a circular stone chamber beneath the Castle.
The dungeon air holds the cloying smell of boiled onions and regret.
Drops of green slime fall from the ceiling. When they strike the floor, they seem to tap out the rhythm of Michael Jackson’s 1982 chart hit Beat It.
Four passageways lead away into the darkness:
To the north, lies a narrow corridor from which comes the sound of polite applause.
To the east, you see a low stone passage lit by a pale green light.
Beyond the southern exit, you can hear the distant jangling of metal.
To the west, stone steps lead further down into the shadows.
Click the direction by which you choose to exit the chamber.

(Note: Residents are reminded not to reveal exact routes or item sources, lest Mr Ronald come at you with a pitchfork in the night.)
