My daughter is looking for a job and she is coming to me with questions (which I love 😍). She applied for this one job which she was interested in and excited about. Here's what happened:
✅She applied on Indeed
✅She got the phone interview
✅She nailed it
✅She got the in person interview
We're on a roll...
But then...
They texted her that they have canceled the interview and said they are cancelling the position
Wait! What?! 😮
A shock. A blow. A disappointment.
BUT NOT A SET BACK!
This actually happens more than you think.
There are a million reasons why companies do this and 99% of the time it actually has nothing to do with you.
Here's the way I like to think of this (because this has happened to me too!).
I'm glad they're showing me who they are now so I don't go work for them and find out 6 months from now how terrible they are.
So thank you rando business for showing your true colors ahead of time.
You saved us all a lot of time 😁
So tell me - what’s the most disappointing job search moment you’ve had — and what did it end up teaching you? (and yes, it did teach you something 😉. Dig deep my friends! ❤️)
