Thanks to Matt over at the Good Morning Portugal! community for this first AI meme, and reminding me to remember the humour in all of this...

AI as a coach & counsellor?
Last Saturday morning I asked AI my first 'spiritual' question. Long overdue perhaps given my life-long fascination about what makes people tick, and the 'meaning of life'. Perhaps it was my snobbery and judgement about the technology, dismissing it as 'beneath us'? Anyway, listening to the "It's CRAZY, but it works" video 👇, was what changed my mind about AI (AGAIN!). It's not about whether it's beneath or even above us. It's a tool, and is it useful, or not? My mind was changed about the author - Jay Shetty - too, who I had never resonated with until that moment. "Jay Shetty explains how to repurpose artificial intelligence as a sophisticated tool for personal growth rather than just a basic productivity aid. He argues that tools like ChatGPT can act as a digital mirror, helping users achieve profound self-awareness by identifying hidden patterns of self-sabotage and emotional triggers. By using specific prompts, individuals can conduct life audits, rehearse difficult conversations, and build accountability systems that bypass the brain’s natural tendency to avoid uncomfortable truths. Shetty emphasises that while AI cannot replace human connection, it offers a judgment-free space to externalise internal thoughts and resolve long-standing psychological conflicts. Ultimately, the source provides a practical framework for using technology to bridge the gap between one's current reality and their authentic self." - My notebook on this (introducing you here to another great AI tool 😉) Please take a look for yourself to assess its suitability for you and your spiritual journey, (if - like me - you have such inclinations!). See also me n Viv, chatting about it on the show this morning...
Training an AI Lora
A Lora, is a digital character.. (You feed the AI about twenty photos of yourself - add a Keyword - your name...) When it's done, you can ask AI to add your Lora into scenes "you like to see..." I'm trying out for Game of Thrones here... If it's useful, I can talk you through it...!

Need a place to start? Find your AI "Home Base" 🏠✨
I know it can feel like standing at the edge of a very deep, very high-tech pool. You want to get in, but you’re not sure where the 'shallow end' is. The secret to AI is that you shouldn't start with the technology; you should start with your hobbies and interests. AI is just a new tool—like a sharper pair of gardening shears or a more powerful magnifying glass. Here is my "AI Old Guy" map to help you find your best starting point: 1. For the Writers & Storytellers: ChatGPT or Claude - The Vibe: A thoughtful pen-pal. - Why start here? If you enjoy writing memoirs, planning family reunions, or need help drafting a tricky letter to the council. It’s like having a co-writer who never gets tired of your drafts. 2. For the Curious Researchers: Perplexity AI - The Vibe: A personal librarian who speaks plain English. - Why start here? If you love deep-diving into genealogy, medical facts, or historical events. Unlike Google, it gives you a clear summary and tells you exactly where it found the info. 3. For the Memory-Keepers & Crafters: Canva Magic Studio - The Vibe: A digital scrapbook that does the cutting for you. - Why start here? If you want to turn old family photos into beautiful greeting cards, calendars, or community newsletters without feeling like you need a degree in graphic design. 4. For the Music Lovers: Suno AI - The Vibe: A 24/7 recording studio in your pocket. - Why start here? If you want to have some pure fun. You can write a song for a grandchild’s birthday or a funny jazz tune about your retirement—and AI will sing it for you! 5. For the Organized Record-Keepers: NotebookLM - The Vibe: The ultimate organized filing cabinet. - Why start here? If you have years of research, medical records, or legal documents. You "feed" them to the AI, and then you can ask it questions like, "What did the doctor say about my medication back in 2022?" 6. For the "Let's Get it Done" Types: Otter.ai - The Vibe: A very quiet, very efficient secretary. - Why start here? If you’re tired of taking notes at your local club meetings. It listens and transcribes perfectly so you can stay in the moment.
