Flexibility or numbness?
Today we found out that our daughter is going to have intracranial surgery to place her RNS device in her brain to help manage her epilepsy. It feels like the flexibility you have to nurture to adapt to the ever-changing needs of your child gets tested regularly. Today felt like walking through water while talking with the surgeon. How do you manage surreal conversations with your child's care team?

What have you done for yourself lately?
What's one thing you have done for yourself today? I joined some friends online for a brief gaming chat. I also got a McD's hashbrown with my coffee this morning. Small, but meaningful gestures. :)

So, do you come here often?
Introduce yourself to the group, and share something - whatever you are comfortable sharing - about your child / child in an adult body. What would you like to get out of this group?

What armor do you wear?
Welcome to Care Warriors! Come in, reheat that same damned cup of coffee you've been reheating all day, and share with the group so that we can get to know you better! If you were wearing ACTUAL armor as a Care Warrior, what 3 items from your daily life would be incorporated into the armor?
