I am the proud parent of a formerly non-verbal child who has blossomed into an amazing, respectful, and kind adult. Raising Elias has been my biggest accomplishment in life! And I want to share all the tricks and tips I've learned along the way.
Like you, I have been through the heartbreak of the initial diagnosis. I have been through melt-downs, and crash outs. I have been through the lonely times and the sleepless nights. I've tried the Casein diet, gluten-free diet, and stopping the ingestion of red dye. I've felt helpless and confused in IEP meetings. I've felt the lack of support from my own family, and even my ex-husband. My biggest fear was Elias eloping and making it to a large body of water.
