My physician and the book by Andreas Kalcker (Forbidden Health) suggest using Artemisia Annua (wormwood) as an additional supplement to address the C.

I tried searching for Artemisia Annua in this community, but the results were limited. Hence, I asked my super smart friend.

The results are surprisingly positive, with some clinical human data available. It seems Big Pharma doesn't influence my friend 😀

Below are some interesting points from the report, and I've included the full report.

Preclinical Cancer Models (Prostate Cancer)

As noted, preclinical studies use the active compounds. The findings show these compounds do have anti-cancer and immunomodulatory effects in laboratory settings:

1. Artemisinin (Active Compound): In-vitro studies on LNCaP (lymph node carcinoma of the prostate) human prostate cancer cells found that artemisinin treatment triggers a "stringent G1 cell cycle arrest," which is a mechanism that stops cancer cells from progressing to the division phase.4

2. Artesunate (Derivative): Research on various prostate cancer cell lines (including LNCaP, DU145, and PC3) demonstrated that artesunate induces a significant, dose-dependent inhibition of cancer cell growth.1 Significant effects were first observed at concentrations as low as 5 µM to 20 µM, depending on the specific cell line.1

3. NK Cell Activation: In a key study on immune function, the active compound artemisinin was shown to directly activate Natural Killer (NK) cells. It "significantly enhances the cytolytic activity of NK cells in a dose-dependent manner".6 The mechanism was identified as the stimulation of granule exocytosis, which is the process NK cells use to release their cell-killing compounds.7

Point 3 is very interesting.
