A broad-brush podcast of Joe Tipper's journey, discovering Fenbendazole. The lesson here, is that making a fantastic "cancer-ending" repurposed drug, blogging about it, then putting it on FaceBook, YouTube, etc., is going to be filled with misadventures, where you will be misunderstood at every corner.
A real-life event happened to me at MDA this week when I mentioned Joe Tippens to my Medical Oncologist. She whispered to my wife and I: "I'll tell you something about Joe, he was taking Kaytruda" I answered back, "yes, I read the whole story, and I learned he was the only one that survived in that first clinical study."
She said, "Oh, there have been many survivors since then". In other words, nothing positive about Fenbendazole, so I mentioned what I had read about his oncologist being promoted within the FDA, and a Ph.D. scientist at MDA writing Joe and telling him that MD Anderson knew about the anticancer properties of several of the anti-parasite drugs. She just said, "yes, he was a colleague of mine", nothing positive about any repurposed drug, or MDA's own studies on them.
She ended our meeting saying she would see if I qualified for any new clinical trials, but that I would have to get off my repurposed drugs to join one.
