How to help my stage 4 keto-hostile wife?

My 50yo wife is also mother of our 13 and 14yo daughters. She developed a slow-growing cancer about 18 months ago, which was removed but has metastasized elsewhere.

She eats the standard American diet, but her oncologists here at the Fred Hutchinson Center won’t tell her that this may be a root cause or contributing factor. I have tried to suggest that changing her carb and seed-oil based diet may help extend her life and reduce her suffering. I am also studying Thomas Seyfried's work.

One objection to fasting and dietary change is that she's always been on the bony side, and is now even skinnier than before.

But the real problem is that she doesn’t find my opinion credible because I am not a doctor. It's difficult to even talk with her about it without her getting angry, shutting down the conversation, and refusing to share details about her condition and treatment. I am strict carnivore (with no apparent health problems), so I guess she sees me as some kind of a nut.
