My partner's mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer, which has metastasized and appears to be progressing. My partner recently discovered Dr. Makis online, but I find several aspects of this situation deeply troubling. It’s concerning that a doctor seemingly has no time to consult directly yet manages to review tests and prescribe medication through an assistant. Moreover, the prescribed medication includes items like turmeric, a known blood thinner, which raises red flags considering she has a history of heart problems and is already taking medication for them. If he had thoroughly reviewed her medical file, such an oversight wouldn't occur.

Additionally, it’s alarming that this doctor demands PayPal payments upfront—even before any consultation. To add to the unease, his paperwork includes disclaimers that absolve him of responsibility, labeling his services under “Viliam Makis Health Coaching.”

I’ve heard a lot about fake profiles and individuals exploiting vulnerable people in desperate situations, and this feels eerily like one of those cases. My partner is understandably desperate and willing to try anything, but after reading so many negative reports, one can’t help but question whether this resembles those fraudulent operations—like fortune tellers or so-called love consultants claiming to provide guidance.

The lack of transparency surrounding this doctor is unsettling. I’ve read about scams where individuals, sometimes from overseas, pose as medical professionals, and the fact that no one seems to consult Dr. Makis in person or even on Skype makes me wonder if he’s more of a 'mysterious' figure akin to Banksy. It’s hard not to question the legitimacy of this whole setup
