🦠 Could a hidden infection be fueling certain brain tumors?
Groundbreaking immunohistochemical imaging shows Borrelia burgdorferi (Lyme disease bacteria) inside tumor cells.
šŸ“Œ In the study by Dr. Alan B. MacDonald (2023), Borrelia was found:
  • Freely moving in tumor tissue (Fig. 3A)
  • Depositing its surface protein (OspA) throughout glioblastoma tissue (Fig. 3B)
  • Inside the cytoplasm and even the nuclei of tumor cells (Fig. 3C)
šŸ”¬ This was confirmed using monoclonal antibody CB10 and DAB chromogen staining at 400x magnification.
🧬 If a tumor contains a persistent bacterial infection, then killing that infection might reduce inflammation, free immune suppression, and possibly help shrink the tumor.
